Winner takes it all

Written on May 14, 2012 by Martin Barrett

If I were to gamble, I would do it with grace. There was no space for error. I only do calculated risks and I do not rely entirely on instinct to decide on things especially with decision-making involving money. Before learning Poker, I realized that the game can be extremely addictive. So I created a master plan on how not to be obsessive with the game. Every poker night with buddies I would set a limit on my budget and bring only which I can afford to lose on that night. Aside from that I play the game when I am full so I would not have to be impulsive; this is the same with principle of full-stomach shopping. We become less impulsive and lose appetite for spending when we are full. And the best precaution I had is the poker probability software. Having this around I was able to get more winning chances. Though when I was beginning, I was not so sure about many things. Then I began to practice. It felt good to experience that tingling sensation when you are about to win and you know it but you pretend not to! This is exact science on its own but with all the probabilities, it is improbable that we hold all winning cards as the combinations rely on chance. Still, having the odds calculated makes me a winner among my peers.
